With the sanctions against Russia, herring deficit to the most upsetting to the Russians, we eat it at least once a week.
Allot of Jews that emigrated from former soviet union brought their love for herring with em, briined Herring is kosher. Find an area where Russian Jews live, there is old fashioned barrel herring there.
