My son's last night before he returns to Vermont for second semester. So, I am making one of his favorites Black Bean and vegetable curry over basmati rice.

Plenty of naan and a cucumber radish and jicama salad that he leaned to make while away at school.

Desert will be Kaluha Hot Fudge sundaes ala Mainebrokerman.

Cranberry bruschetta. Pasta with sautéed broccoli and sliced brussels sprouts in a miso brown butter sauce. I make my own vegan butter and wasn't sure how it would work in this, but it turned out great. Dark chocolate-dipped pecan shortbread cookies for dessert.

We were pretty busy today, so I stopped for an Italian hoagie on my way home. Totally worth it, too.

Breakfast for dinner -- omelet and sausage. Wish I could have coffee too, but I've had a bit of insomnia as it is, so I skipped it.
