Bleu cheese salad dressing, dipping sauce and crumbles. I cannot fathom why people think it tastes good. It's my cilantro (which I love).

I think all JrzDefector meant is that s/he hates blue cheese as much as so many people hate cilantro, cilantro being a much more commonly-hated food than blue cheese. S/he wasn't talking about combining them, nor contradicting him/herself. Right, JD?
I worked with a British woman and we talked about the English tradition of Shrove Tuesday pancake suppers that is practiced here in the Anglican/Episcopal chuches. Maple syrup is an American thing. They put powdered sugar and lemon on theirs. I keep meaning to try them that way.
My husband works for an Episcopal church. This year, the youth group put on the Shrove Tuesday supper, and broke with tradition and did chicken and waffles, lol! The waffle batter was only slightly sweet, and, paired with the savory chicken, it was so much more enjoyable to me than pancake would have been.
