I eat breakfast every day at home. You need to make time, get up earlier if you have too. I get up at 5:30 am Monday-Friday even though I don't have to be in work until 9am. Hubby needs to be out of the house by 6:45 am. We like to have breakfast together so I always make him eggs with cheese or egg whites with turkey no toast.. On weekends he has a bigger breakfast. If you need a quick breakfast than have a bowl of cereal or yogurt and a piece of fruit.

I take it from the kitchen to the dining room. I then read the paper while eating.

I've never used the phrase "take breakfast." I only say "eat breakfast." I don't take breakfast anywhere, no matter how you want to defend your irregular usage of the phrase.
