Easter Vs. Halloween: What Holiday Has Better Candy???

Easter gives us marshmallow peeps, chocolate bunnies, and jelly beans.

Halloween is all about candy corn, chocolate eye-balls, and fun sized candy bars.

Such a hard choice, but what holiday is better in terms of candy?

Christmas is a obviously the best. Candy canes, ribbon candy, gingerbread men, chocolate Santas. C'mon, what could beat Christmas? This tread is looking for the second best holiday in terms of candy.

I'm going with Halloween due to the pumpkins, Easter does not associate with one food or another, but Halloween has pumpkin pies, pumpkin flavored ice cream, and pumpkin spiced lattes.

Now that Cadbury Cream Eggs (Scream Eggs) are available for both holidays, it's a wash for me.

I voted for Easter. The halloween candies you can get any time of the year and I sometimes do - just bought a Twix.

Hallowe'en is a mish-mosh, or hodge-podge if you will, of crap from the Dollar Store dropped in your bag under cover of darkness and sure of anonymity. When you get home and sort it out, you have a bowl full of nothing and maybe, just maybe, about 50 cents worth of the good stuff.

The Easter Bunny, on the other paw, will make sure your basket has some good chocolate, some Jelly-Bellies (please, not the spice kind!), and a large chocolate-covered coconut cream egg with a rock-hard sugar rosette on the top of it. The day I get one of those suckers in my Hallowe'en bag is the day I'll vote for Hallowe'en. Until then...
