yep, just because they are local and mom and pop doesn't make them good. However I still like to try them and I love suporting the local economy and those who are working hard to make a living. I know owning a business, especially the basic breakfast/lunch mom and pop place can be a pain with long hours.

We have a few Sonics near us... Menu's and the times of the specials getting a bit confusing. Eating from my motorcycle has gotten boring, I am old and have to stretch my legs, at least they have a few picnic tables. But, yea, Sonics have their place.

They may have their place for some, but not me. The hamburgers are made with more filler than meat, they are always overcooked, the lettuce in shredded, you can hardly find the onion and most of the other stuff is the cheapest quality known to man kind. I used to like them way back when, but the quality has gone down so bad, just like Subway.

Bojangles is one thing I miss about leaving NC...both breakfast and for the ocassional meal.

It's one of two fast food places I like...the other being Culver's up here in Wisconsin.

I have had some Sonic burgers that have been great, some that have been awful. Other than the onion rings and the lineage, I would pass on most of their food.

It isn't awful, but it certainly isn't a top bar b cue place in the minds of many. I am the first to say: what one person likes another will absolutely hate. We have gone there a few times, but not in the past 2 or 3 years.

Been to Dave's BBQ a few times now just to see if it was a one time thing, but no, the meat has been anything but tender. Grizzle in parts. So disappointed. Wouldn't be so much if they called themselves Dave's Diner rather than Dave's Bar B Q.

I wish there weren't any in all 50 states. I'd rather see chains concentrate on the local or regional tastes and preferences. Could a southerner depend on a Dunkin or a Culvers to offer grits with breakfast?

I wouldn't want to continue to eat at What-a-Burger, if I thought they were trying to appeal to a market outside Texas.

Terrible, but sometimes I miss White Castle and their calorie bomb onion chips. So delicious, I can feel my arteries clogging now to think of them.
