I hate these darn things. You go for a plain Coke and get some mess that tastes like Coke, vanilla and, dog food. Yeah, I know there isn't a dog food button.
Is it too much to ask for a plain Coke and nOT one that tastes like Dr. Pepper and cherry? Just give me a damn Coke, no flavors, no BS. A plain Coke. Ugh.
The worst part is getting stuck behind a bunch of people who have no idea what they are doing and trying to create some elaborate drink when all you want is a Dr Pepper.
Nope, love them. I don't drink a ton of soft drinks as a rule, and I like being able to get, say, a seltzer with lime flavoring at a fountain. I have a Sodastream dispenser at home, but it's nice to have a similar option when grabbing lunch on the go.
When the Freestyle machines were first sold, I thought that you would be able to order the hundreds of Coke products that have never been offered before like some of the sodas offered internationally.
When I saw that it was simply a rehash of the same old beverages, it became a lot less appealing. Actually, the machines in many of the major convenience chains like Quiktrip or Circle K offer a great deal more variety.

This I can certainly agree with. The worst are the people who want to explore every last choice available like they're going to miss some amazing new drink if they would have only looked a little harder.
Still, I just want a Coke that tastes like Coke. That's my main gripe.
I love the machine and I can only access it in one or two places nearby. I love to get diet vanilla root beer. If you want a regular Coke, go to the thousands of places that serve it.

You know, it's probably pretty easy to simply pour a plain Coke if you want it from that machine. If your drink ends up tasting like vanilla and dog food, then that's your own fault for doing it wrong.

Really?
I love QT, but their fountains have a whopping two options for flavor adds...vanilla and cherry. At least, here.
We don't have any in our state (at least not that I've found) so for us it's a treat to get to use one.
