I prefer white rice. A nearby Vietnamese restaurant made a fabulous white sticky rice that was soooo good. Sadly they closed. I'll eat brown rice on occasion.

I mostly opt for brown rice mainly because of the health benefits. I also like the taste/texture. Although, some dishes taste better with white rice. So i guess it depends on the dish for me.

A warning to all brown rice eaters: It contains a high level of arsenic. Rinse well in cold water under the tap before cooking to remove most of it, as it lays on the surface.

We are brown rice eaters, more texture and more bite. But if you look up arsenic and brown rice, you'll understand why I posted this caution.

I prefer white, but will eat brown if it is cooked in broth with at least some onion and garlic.

I know that brown rice is healthier, but i don't like the texture or taste.

I love white rice...but I know that I have to severely limit my intake of it on any given basis.

They are like wife and girl friend. You've got to have both.

But I've grown to like it more the past few years, especially as it has a better nutritional profile. Plus it doesn't have to taste bad.

I eat mostly brown rice for my meals like lunch and dinner.

But I do prefer white rice for some foods like sushi (not that I think many sushi bars have brown rice sushi from the sushi chef).

You?
Our local grocery stores all carry sushi made with brown rice (white rice too). Robyn

I like white or jasmine. Brown is ok but I only like the brown rice from my local Chinese takeout.

I only like and eat white rice. It's my favorite starch with most foods.
