Scenario: You're craving some delectable fried chicken one day. You go to your favorite place and order whatever special you choose, along with a drink to balance out the flavor of your food.
Which soda do you get as a palate cleanser to go with a tasty fried chicken meal?
My choice has always been Sprite for the last 20 years; I like that crisp, lemon-lime taste to mellow out the seasoning.

LOL Pepsi of course , but will wash everything down with a huge glass of water..
Then I will go without fried chicken for the next month or so ( or anything fired for that matter)
Well, certainly not a soda. I like fried chicken just fine, but I would not choose a sweet drink to go with it. And a flavored soda is not a palate cleanser!
My choices are either plain water, or (preferably) sparkling water.
I get spicy fried chicken and, if available, I'd choose fruit punch or orange pop. Diet dr pepper or root beer if neither of my first choices were available. Oh or lemonade before dr pepper or rootbeer.

I couldn't vote. I never drink soda. Water or perhaps fresh lemonade.
