We usually like lemon water or homemade lemonade.

I drink water with everything.

I enjoy alcohol on its own and don't do soda.

I have never experienced any drink (even the finest of wines, yadda yadda) truly enhance the flavor of a meal.

Hey! You just might be my long lost beverage twin!
Except you forgot seltzer. I think seltzer goes with everything. You can add a twist of lemon or lime but I think it's perfect the way it is. This way you get the carbonation with out all the cloying sweetness of soda.

Don't get me wrong!

I like beer. And some wine. Love champagne and scotch.
And I like sugary sodas (I don't drink them bc they literally are totally crap).

But water lets you taste things as they really are and is refreshing, too.

Finally, someone listed just plain water. Which is the only thing I ever drink.

I drink water 95% of the time. I only drink diet coke in my rum, which is only on occasion. I think water is the best drink with anything.

Soda made with cane sugar....plenty of them out there. Iced tea or lemonade. Personally, I need the fizz when I'm eating pizza to help cut the greasiness.
