If Anthony Bourdain eats it, I probably wouldn't.

Hi Crazyworld. I absolutely agree with you about the liver. YUCK!

Anything alive. I will eat ( and have eaten) pretty much anything offered to me all over the world.

Dog I would have a serious problem with simply because of cultural prejudice. I am not keen on Heart, Brains and Lungs ( unless disguised in delicious Haggis) but would still eat it if I had to.

Live foods though, are cruel and abhorrent to me and there is no reason for it. That is an absolute no-no.

Liver is lovely if cooked properly and I actually quite like grubs ! And Grasshoppers etc...

I can't even TOUCH a bug, let alone EAT it!

Mooseketeer is so adventurous, I admire that.

She did inspire me to taste steak tartare which was lovely, but somehow I am less moved by her grub recommendation!

Believe me I really wasn't keen the first time I had grubs or grasshoppers either. The words Yukk sprang to mind.
But once I put aside my disgust it really was quite nice. Honestly. Not Steak Tartare nice but still quite nice.

However I have my dislikes too like everybody else, I had Marmot in Mongolia which was one of the most disgusting thing ever ( so chewy it just stays in your mouth and refuses to go down) and boiled cow's foot with the hair still on in Africa which was vile beyond belief. And then more normal foods like celery ( will eat it but hate it unless it's cooked), Mutton ( will eat it but really hate it).

Basically if I have to I can eat just about anything and enjoy most. Some I loathe but if is not poisonous and is nutritious then in some circumstances my dislikes really have to be put aside.

it's amazing what 3 days in the jungle with no food does to your taste ! Trust me hunger makes you very adventurous and appreciative ! Very much so in fact.
