Oh, well!
Tamara - how do you make a salmon stew?

Lazy day after work. Brisket tortillas with Cheddar and Bleu cheese, chopped onions, Cajun seasoning, and a hearty red wine.

I have not been p posting my meals as I have been "on the road." for the first half of the month I do NOT like to post while on the road as I don't like to broadcast when I am gone.

Tonight's dinner:

Chinese style vegetable soup with rice vermicelli noodles
Cherry Pie

Tomorrow's dinner:

The neighborhood pot luck

For the past three years, I have made up a pot of my chipotle chili, a recipe that I have developed over the past five years. However, I have a neighbor who prepares another chili. We will stand there and actually dish out HIS chili leaving me with nearly a whole pot of chili to take home.

This year, I am changing strategies. I would love to serve Cincinnati chili BUT that would require me to bring the chili and spaghetti in different bowls as well as shredded cheese, chopped onions, and red beans separately. I would then have to explain it. That would be too much work.

Instead, I am making up a Cincinnati Chili casserole which gives you all of the components without all of the confusion. Tonight I was putting together all of the components as I will have only 75 minutes between arriving at home and heading to the pot luck.

another beautiful day, but tomorrow is turning cold again, so we will have to have our cowboy steak tonight. I really upsets me: SURE it does. Spoiled brat will do it on the grill with veggies and of course the stand by: green salad. I may skip the salad tonight and just do more veggies.

SO has a long day and he asked for mini meat loaves and mashed potatoes. I add carrots/onions/celery to the roasting pan, deglaze with Guiness.

Big wok pot, olive oil, garlic, paprika, chili powder, some kind of cayenne seasoning.

Salmon.

Potatoes such as golden or red or both, sliced. Feta and/or bleu cheese.

Black beans, black eyed peas, red beans, kidney beans, and pinto beans.

Brown rice, split peas, lentils.

I'll usually use a tea for the main water. If it is Sunday, I may use a cup of a white wine, maybe some anchovy paste. Maybe.
