Tea alert!
My local Costco is currently selling 100 ct. boxes of Twinings English Breakfast Tea (which is a black tea) for $8.97, which is an amazingly low price!
I think that Costco's pricing may differ somewhat in different areas of the country, as does their merchandise, but if you are lucky you will be able to find that item for $8.97 (or, perhaps less) at your local Costco.
We have this at home too. If I'm not mistaken, it is also known as "Earl Grey" that has a nice scent (oil of bergamot). Then I got ambitious and bought their Orange Pekoe, which I find bitter and bland. Don't know what to do with the remaining 300 (less 2) teabags.

NO!
It is not the same.
Twinings sells many different varieties of teas, and their English Breakfast Tea to which I referred is a black tea without any added flavorings. Even though I usually like citrus-flavored products, for some reason I do not like any of the Earl Grey teas (flavored with Oil of Bergamot Orange) that I have ever tasted.
In any event, Twinings English Breakfast Tea is a very different product, as compared to their Earl Grey Tea.
I like English Breakfast as it has a sort of 'coffee' taste. My fav is Earl Grey in most any brand. Good old Lipton will do in a pinch but those 'off' brands of black tea in restaurants are awful.

I'm not a fan of Lipton, but I will definitely take it in preference to the "Lacas" brand tea that seems to be used at every Greek-owned diner in NJ. If I add a lot of lemon juice, that insipid Lacas tea will taste like lemon. Without the addition of fresh lemon juice, Lacas brand tea is essentially just colored water, no matter how long you allow it to steep.
Thank God that I rarely need to patronize diners at this stage of my life.

Great info there. I shall pay more attention to my tea from now on. Thanks.
I can't help noticing that you've never addressed any of the multiple posts in the thread asking about how you are preparing your tea and suggesting that using hotter water and/or steeping for longer might improve the flavor of the tea you drink.
i'm now motivated to brew up a fresh mug of tea, going to try a new one called Serenitea a special Egyptian Ayuverdic herbal tea, main ingredients chamomile/peppermint and lavender.
