There's a bakery near me that sells really yummy cupcakes. You can buy one at a time, but I usually buy four. Almost every week. And I eat them all within 24-36 hours.

I have an issue with modern cupcakes. There's twice as much frosting as cake when, in fact, the frosting should be just a thin layer on top (traditionally). Pretty to look at, but... Does anyone ever actually eat all that icing? You realize it's nothing but Crisco, sugar, and food coloring. Yum!

I eat it, but the frosting isn't "Crisco, sugar, and food coloring". It's cream cheese, butter, vanilla, and sugar.

I don't eat anything but chocolate frosting, be it ganache, buttercream, or whipped cream. I scrape off vanilla buttercream, and I don't eat cupcakes whose frosting is made of Crisco (and definitely no supermarket sheetcake).

I like a good amount of frosting on my cupcakes, but I eat them with a fork so I can control the amount of frosting I get with each bite. I usually end up with some frosting left over and I just throw it away.

A fork??? Everyone knows you break off the top and place the top underneath the bottom and eat it like a icing sandwich!!!

I invert the cupcake, lift it out, and eat the cake, taking just a little dollop of frosting on a fork as needed. But I do resent paying $$$ for unbearably sweet icing I just throw out, so almost never buy them. Same with cake; way too must frosting for appearance' sake.
