Holiday dishes are very subjective. It's very easy to find cranberries down here in the U.S. South. But some people have never had homemade cranberry sauce, which is a pity, IMO. But if all you've had is cranberries from a can, then that is understandable.

Sorry for your and Marylees’s loses. I lost my sister on Nov. 3. Part of our last conversation was she was not up to cooking for Thanksgiving this year. Neither of us thought she wouldn’t be alive, though.

Thank you. And I totally understand. The same here.. my husband was making thanksgiving plans. Neither of us thought he wasn't going to be here either. But I have a large supportive family and we had a nice day.
