I bought a smallish, single layer, round chocolate cake with buttercream frosting from the grocery store on Monday. It’s the kind of cake that you buy to celebrate something. It had pretty roses on it. Anyway, it wasn’t my birthday but I bought it anyway and I finished it off this morning. I ate the whole thing by myself since I live alone. I often do this with pie and don’t feel terribly bad about it, but cake makes me feel especially guilty.

So what have you all indulged in lately that you probably shouldn’t have? Let it out and release the guilt!

Potato chips. I don't feel too guilty, though.

My favorite snack...
and if I don't allow myself some, the next time I see them might buy and eat the entire bag in one sitting!

Not a thing. Why would anyone feel guilty about something you ate?

Because it had no nutritional value whatsoever...or you know you have a few extra pounds to lose...or you simply overindulged...or you claim to be a vegetarian, but you secretly eat meat! I’m sure you can think of something.

I had Chinese takeout 4 nights in a row last week. I don't feel guilty but that's a lot of sodium. It was just too hot to cook anything and that's what I felt like getting.

Guilty! I eat too much Chinese too. If I lived closer to a Panda Express, I’d be there all the time.

You would be absolutely wrong! I eat for pleasure and I don't "secretly" have nothing to be shameful about eating. That would be for the insecure.

my sister discreetly put 3 peas in my lobster roll
I vowed 35 yrs ago never to eat the little round evil spheres again...

I broke my long standing vow..

I also had a half a whoopie pie …(been avoiding sugar and carbs for months )..first sugar blitz I had in a longggg time......I actually felt nauseous....and blamed it on the peas
