Yeah I thought they went out of business. Either way I’m not a big sweet pastry type. I do however will go for Halva and Baklava if I have a rare chance
I can hardly ever find them but I really liked the Brownies with the walnuts. The Cosmic Brownies aren't as good. But Swiss Cake Rolls are amazingly good. Fudge Rounds too! I eat the Oatmeal Creme Pies more than the others - they just don't feel as 'bad' lol.
Same company these days but Drakes has the grocery store shelf space in my part of New England. Hostess was the former owner of Drakes until they went bankrupt. Little Debbie was a southern brand that didn’t make it here until Hostess went away. So the products of my childhood were Hostess Twinkies and Drakes products like Ring Dings, Devil Dogs, and Yodels.
I guess if I had to pick my favorite long shelf life baked good, it would be cherry pie or blueberry pie.

When Hostess went bankrupt, there was really very little to take its place in the market. Little Debbie really expanded their distribution. Also, they really raised their prices. They were always significantly cheaper than Hostess. Upon its demise, they took a heft price increase, especially on the single portion servings.

Hostess went through bankruptcy but made a comeback under new owners. They didn't really die, but were out of production for 10 months.
Don’t eat them very often. But when I do I buy Entenmann’s. The quality is SO much better than little Debbie or Hostess for the same price. You can taste a real difference.
. The quality is SO much better than little Debbie... .
OF COURSE it is! You’re disqualified. See Post #5.
