When my gang brings food, there's usually enough for three meals. And they act surprised when I tell them I have some left.

If you're in the mood for some pork and sauerkraut, I have a lot and would be happy to share. Wine would be nice but maybe beer would be good, too. Do you like mashed potatoes with it? I do.

Right now, I have enough tenderloin for a nice sammie with horseradish. There are three stalks of asparagus and I must tell you, it's exquisite. That's tomorrow's lunch.

I have a feeling we're coming up on a dry spell - no holidays imminent. But I won't lack for food because they shop for whatever I need/want; only problem is I have to cook it and I'm not nearly as accomplished.

You won't starve here but nothing fancy. Bear in mind I raised five boys and gourmet wasn't in the lexicon. Just basic "fill-'em-up" food.

Talking Thank you so much, Rickcin! I LOVE the FEAST of the EPIPHANY!

HELLO RICKCIN

Thank you so much for your kind reply!

As you can tell by the thread I started, regarding 12th Night CAKE, THREE KINGS

FEAST, EPIPHANY CELEBRATION
I JUST LOVE THE FEAST OF THE

EPIPHANY!!
And the desserts eaten to CELEBRATE such a wonderful DAY!

It saddens me that people have allowed the media, culture, etc. to RULE over their HOLIDAYS.

I love the way these HOLIDAYS are still being CELEBRATED in different parts of the world (I know a lot of

people still do in the US), but people are losing some of these lovely traditions.

If people do not try to keep these TRADITIONS ALIVE, in a couple of generations, they will vanish
