Looks like the usual Easter dinner is on the stove. A Honey glazed ham, maple glazed carrots, smashed potatoes and a super delicious strawberry cake with strawberries inside. Dis gonna be gud!
I'm hoping to get me some marrow out of that bone.
Spaghetti Sauce pulled from the deep freeze (this one tastes like there are peppers in with my usual beef, tomato, carrot, onion, mushroom). Will serve with a small green or fruit salad, or both.
80/20 prime ground beef patties cooked in the sous vide and seared in a cast iron skillet. First time ever cooking hamburger that way and it's a keeper! Steamed broccoli and a Cajun rice dish DH made on the side. Leftover peach cobbler for dessert.
It was sunny and in the low 70s here today, so I pulled out the grill and found my bag of charcoal. I grilled a couple ribeyes. hamburgers, hot dogs wrapped with bacon, chicken legs quarters and skinless boneless chicken breast, along with potatoes wrapped in foil and thrown on the grill. I ate a ribeye, one of the hot dogs and some of the potatoes. The rest is headed to the freezer. No need to waste charcoal on just a little bit!
Easter for us means lamb. We had roasted rack of lamb with a mustard herb crust, roasted potatoes, carrots and asparagus. And a lovely Cabernet Sauvignon.
