I was in charge of guarding the brownies so I sampled on for a snack. Great pay.

Just made myself a blended smoothie with soy milk, plain lowfat yogurt, frozen organic strawberries that I picked back in June, and some ground flax seed. I used it to wash down several vitamins.

Almost as good as ice-cream. Since I really cut the bad stuff out of my diet, I have to admit I feel so much better. And I'm looking better in my jeans, too! Well they fit better, at least.

Spiced almonds. I made a recipe from RecipeZaar that came out okay, but not great.

What I really want is my mother's Party Mix/Chex Mix. I will have to make some of that next week. It's spicier and saltier than the recipe on the Chex Mix box. I think I'll forego the mixed nuts, instead adding just almonds and pecans. And no Rice Chex, just Corn Chex. And Cheerios. And Pretzels.

My recipes never end up being anything like the original.
