I had some hamburger that I needed to cook up, so I made meatloaf out of it. For some reason, I forgot to add the tomato sauce before cooking it. Cooked it at 350 for 50 minutes, turned off the oven and drained it.

That's when it occurred to me that I hadn't put any tomato sauce into it. So I put somewhere between 1/2 cup and 3/4 cup of Ragu on top of it, and put it back in the cooling oven for about 15 minutes. It actually formed a crust on top of the meatloaf--very cool. Plus, an hour later, I can still smell it.

Guess I put this in the wrong thread--I posted it in the "food chat thread". So here it is again---for our dinner tonight DH is cooking up some Talapia and I'll make some rice and brussel sprouts for sides.

Ooops! We'll allow that, Cyn.

TKramar, I always put ketchup on top of my meatloaf - just love that crust that it makes. Very good. Hm....I may have to make some meatloaf this week, now!

Got my wish granted for jalapeno burgers. Have some grilled corn leftover that we will figure a way to eat.

Pulled Pork with a side of brown rice, artichoke hearts/olive salad from whole foods, and some chips to dip and eat. Probably drinking a diet coke lime and dessert will be cookies and cream frozen yogurt. Good Evening and have a nice night.
