Diet drinks give me the bloat...YUCK!!!
I will drink mineral water with lemon instead, or most often iced tea no sugar.
Why someone would pour tons of chemicals like that into their bodies is beyond me!
SPEW!!!
Besides that, it has been proven diet sodas make you fat!! Now as for diabetics I am sure the occasional diet drink is okay...

I don't use any artificial sweeteners, so no diet soda for me. I recently asked for unsweetened tea, and the waitress (twice) brought me diet iced tea. Seemed she needed remedial help to realize that "diet" is not the same as "unsweetened"...

I had some recently by mistake, and it burned like acid on my tongue- I never something was very wrong even before I swallowed. Yuck.

I try not to drink soda but only 2 times a week and occasionally (especially if I'm at a bar or club), I'll order Diet Coke instead, if I don't feel like drinking that evening. It helps me to sip it, like I would an alcohol beverage.

*urp*

I drink them occasionally; the fizz wakes me up during the midafternoon doldrums, or if I'm on a long distance drive. But not on a daily basis.

Coke Zero is the closest thing to Coke, and tastes OK. I also like diet 7-Up and diet Dr Pepper.

I know people who drink 6 to 12 diet colas a day. I can't imagine that fake sugar is good for you. It gives me a terrible headache.

I'm not a big soda drinker. But, if I do have a soda (maybe 1-2/week?) then I'll drink diet. Mainly because I can't stand the sweetness of regular soda. It takes me awhile to adjust every time they "improve" the diet sodas by using a new sweetner. I grew up drinking Tab in the 70's.....

12 sodas a day? that's crazy!

I just drink water. I hate how diet sodas taste.

12 diet Cokes a day?? I'm sure I'm pretty darn close to that number.
I am addicted to diet soda-particularly Pepsi One, Diet Rite, and Diet Vanilla Pepsi. I drink them all day, every day, pretty much one can after the other.
I'm sure it's more habit than thirst. I might drink Arizona sweet tea for a change, but I prefer something with carbonation.
Since I was a teen I've loved soda. Back then I wouldn't touch diet soda with a 10-foot pole (I still don't like plain diet Coke or diet Pepsi-yecch). But once I realized how much sugar and calories are in a can of regular soda, I forced myself to drink diet stuff. Pepsi One had just come onto the market, so I drank that to get my taste buds used to diet soda. I am not a water drinker nor am I a coffee drinker. But I love my soda. I know it's not the healthiest thing in the world to put into my body but I don't smoke, drink, or do drugs, so I figure it could be a lot worse.
By the way, the new Pepsi that's made with sugar instead of HFCS is really tasty.
