My husband and I are planning a trip to the Harbour Beach Marriott Mar. 6-11th.
Driving down from SC. Will this week be overcrowded with Spring Breakers? any suggestions for which beaches are best or restaurants to eat at? It is just the two of us, no children.

The Mariott Harbor Beach Resort is off the beaten track...so unless you are willing to drive everywhere or don't mind walking...you will be limited as to what you do...and where you eat...they have the best pool in the area and the beach is a short walk away...the resort is supposed to be smoke free...but like most places...not really enforced...parking at the resort is about $30 a day...

As far as restaurants...there are plenty to choose from...my wife and I enjoy the Casablanca on A1A about a mile or so up the road...there is also a culinary institute somewhere in the area...reservation needed...where you can get a 5 star meal for less then $20....many of the bars/smaller restaurants automatically add an 18% tip...so be sure and look for it before you add another tip...additionally there are several threads on restaurants in Fort Lauderdale that you can research...and since you will be driving you will be able to go off the beaten path to find some of them...

Thank you Rusty78 for your advice! I guess if it is off the beaten path, there are probably no public parking garages cheaper than $30 a day, that seems like a lot but I had read that this was the case.

You don't happen to remember more about this, do you? I'd love to try it.
