If you meant Tamarac, I guess you haven't seen much.

If you want to get nice cool sea breezes and be able to ride your bike to the beach and all around your city, checkout the east side of Broward like Lighthouse Point. The parks there are amazing and the community has many things to offer families. The streets are tree lined and the neighborhood are very safe. I've lived out west before and you get tired of all the crowded lines at all the great chain restaurants whenever you go out to eat. There are even neighbors that talk and hangout with each other in LHP. What a strange concept right?

I have a co-worker friend that lives in Parkland. He visited my house the first time a few months ago and he was very shocked and surprise about the neighborhood. He said he never knew a place like this existed in South Florida. He loved all the trees and bridges he was crossing as he drove through the city at a max speed of 25 MPH.

I have to agree. I have a friend that lives in Tamarc right now and he wants out so bad. Someone use to say to me that Tamarac is "God's waiting room". I found that amusing.

I grew up down here and have been in real estate for twenty years. My kids live in Lauderdale , also. We love it. What are you looking for-rent or buy? You need a family neighborhood, condo, townhouse? There are some great deals right now. Tahnks, Pammywhammy

Sorry- but if your going to live in Florida why would you want to live way out west? Weston and Parkland are like living in another state as far as the sun and beach. The east side is so much hipper to live in. Weston is pretty-but way out there.Pammywhammy

It's not sunny in Weston? It's just as sunny in Weston and Parkland as it is in Fort Lauderdale. Not everyone wants to live near the beach. We go to the beach a few times a year. Why live on the congested east side to avoid driving 25 minutes (that's all it takes to get from Weston to the beach) a few times a year?
