Coconut Creek?!?!?!? There are homes in Weston (San Remo) selling for the high 200s now! Not the highest scale neighborhood but not crappy by any means.

Just looked up San Remo.
We need at least 2,000 sq. ft. and 4 bedrooms.

How big are those houses in C. Creek? 350k is about how much that would go for out here but it is a better area as far as school districts. Cooper City might be a little less money if you can go that far south but still better schools and more family oriented than Coconut Creek.

I think you could find what you want in Weston for around $300-$350. San Remo is smaller.

1800-2200 sq. ft.
In all honesty, my ideal would be 2800+, but I'm not going to find that here!

What are you looking to spend? You mention that $350 is to high, what is your actual price point? I see lots of 2000 sf 4BR in Weston for $300-$350.

And if you can find one without those bad vibes- short sales and foreclosures even lower.

I think I just can't justify buying a place here for 350k+.
Especially when I see other places (other states) with bigger homes for much less.

There are also places with much smaller homes for more money (I used to live in NY and CT). I think that if you have decided to be here and you want to buy a home you need to buy what you can afford here. If you haven't yet decided that this is where you want to be for the long term wait.
