I have solar heating for my pool. I had it installed for $1,800.00. It is about 30 feet by 12 feet on a flat roof. It puts out very hot water from all 6 jets into the pool, even when the pump is on low speed. I haven't been through a winter yet but with all the sun during the dry season, I am hoping for good results.

As you know we don't live in our homes for 10 years.

I'll be in touch with our business when we renovate this summer. It makes since commercially, I just don't think we are there yet on the residential side.
BugManTPC,

Did you renovate your business? I can`t believe it has been a year since this post. If you want updated information on a solar PV system, I can provide you with a financial analysis including the federal investment tax credit (30% ITC), IRR, depreciation, increases in utility cost and so on. Also so new developments in solar equipment.

Just curious

My house faces directly south and assuming I use 2200 kWh per month.

I know there are a lot of other variables but what would a typical system cost installed and hooked up to FPL net metering, without the rebates or tax credit.

Thanks Gary
