Who owns the majority of the property in Lehigh Acres? NRPI and other marketing companies don't seem to be currently active.

When will Lehigh Acres lots sell like they did a few years ago?

I am considering investing in either Bella Vista, Arkansas or Lehigh Acres or both.

Any ideas?

You need to run a search. Lehigh has been written about ad nauseum. I once followed two properties from when they were bought in the 60s. There just isn't a return on their investment due to the location. Now that it is the ghetto, forget it.

Make sure you understand the full cost of a lot in Cape Coma, especially the assessments.
They could be up to three times the actual cost of the lot and then you have the high property taxes on top of that.
Be very careful and understand all the cost associated with owning a lot in Cape Coma, no one will tell you up front you have to check it out yourself. Don't trust anyone.

the newspress just ran an article saying the in sw 6 & 7 they are expecting the cost of water sewer and irrigations to vacant lots are expected to run above 10k based off 2008 cost estimates. they also said in 2008 they were offering if people paid up front in full would run about 70800.00. that is a great deal (not 3x the cost equal said) as far as high taxes my vacant off water lot is $235 a year in taxes.... that's high equal???? deal with facts please.http://www.news-press.com/article/20...sessment-plans

I would say Lehigh will never be a good investment. It's a dump. And it's full of trash, drugs and crime. Not a place I'd drive thru, much less think about buying in. yuck.

I have a bridge I could sell that would make a great investment. Only kidding. I go along with CC. Buy a waterfront gulf access lot.

Don't bother...you'll just get the slumlords saying you made it all up. People need to come here for themselves. They need to read the local paper and watch the local news.....both of which are available online...I suggested it once and even put a link to the News Press and my post was removed.

I guess if you were to use the land to graze cattle it could work.........

Wow $70,800.00 sounds a little high. I know that is a typo but seriously, I read the article differently:

"The current estimated assessment for the Southwest 6 and 7 work is $10,308 and is based on 2008 construction bids. The project will be rebid in 2013 to fine tune the costs. Impact fees will add $6,750 to the bill from the city, raising the total to $17,058."
