In the process of getting close to finishing a new home in NW Cape, I'm on well water and want to install a whole house reverse osmosis system. My next door neighbor uses a local company that he recommended but just wanted to see if anybody could help me with there experiences. PM would be fine if you don't want to post something on a public forum. Thanks

My experience has been....started off with Crystal Water because their sticker was on the equipment when we bought the house. We had several problems with them, once the tech left the water maker turned off after a routine service. They had to come out 3 times to fix the same problem with a pressure switch. When I did call the office, the woman on the phone was rude.
One good thing that came out of using Crystal Water, It helped my learning curve about whole house RO systems as much as I was out self diagnosing problems. I probably can fix one myself now.
I live in the NW Cape also.........do yourself a favor, use Water Medic, good folks, same prices, reliable service. NO MORE PROBLEMS.

I have found it to be very difficult to find good companies to work with in this area. Water Medic is an exception. They installed a whole house RO system for us over two years ago, and everything has been perfect. I have had a very good experience in dealing with them every single time I have needed to. I would not go anywhere else.

Not sure where in the NW Cape your home is. I am off Embers Pkwy, my area is scheduled for the next utilites upgrade to city water. Its scheduled to start sometime soon. If you are in this area you may want to hold off on the upgrade to a whole house RO system. You spend money on that only to turn around and have to hook up to the city water. Then you will not need your RO system. Check out this map.

North 2 Utilities Extension DesignThe City of Cape Coral has contracted with Greeley amp Hansen to design the potable water, sanitary sewer, nbsp dual water irrigation , stormdrain pipes and road reconstruction in the area known as North 2

You still might make use of that R.O. system, even on city water. I'm on City water in SW Cape, and it is still pretty lousy tasting, and leaves washed clothing a bit stiffer compared to where I moved from. We have a small RO system next to the kitchen faucet, and it tastes better at that faucet. I would love to have a whole house system some day. The weird thing is this: Hasn't the CC City water already been processed with an R.O. system ... supposedly the world's largest? Are they not "R.O.-ing" it enough, so that it needs a second treatment?

How much do whole ouse systems cost?

Thanks.

I agree...Cape city water tastes like bleach water to me. You will want a second filter even on city water.
