My husband and I are considering renting a townhouse at Forest Lakes Townhouses, Ft. Myers, off Metro Parkway. I need a pool that is in the mid 80's and I was told that the pool is kept at that temperature. We would be staying for three months and wonder if anyone could tell us about the pro's and con's of the area. We are both retired. We love children but wonder if the pool would be full of kids most of the time. Is there shopping in the area. I wondered about the community club house at Fores Lakes as well as the community gym. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Forest Lake is a great community! Usually pretty quiet, family oriented. The pool and clubhouse are very nice. You are within 10 mi. of the beach, Sanibel island and some great shopping malls. The Edison Mall is maybe 2 miles away. Lots of great restaurants on 41 and surrounding area. We have been going there since 2005, and we love it there!!
