Hey guys! I just moved into town last week - sorry to upset those that dont wnat new people moving into the area as i have seen many threads that q when people are going to staop moving here - move to montana if you dont want things to change and get bigger - you live in one of the bigges areas in the country - i grew up in co and i hated tx and ca for moving in and changing everything - well i moved and go back as a tourist and have loved and appretiated the land so much more and the good thing about tx - you guys wont let outsiders change your land! you love it too much - I think thats why i have enjoyed it so far - anywho - i am a 25 yr old massage therapist who loves alternative med and is just now getting into yoga - i practice thai yoga and love it - yep dirty hippie - it gets better - i am checking out the area and am looking for fun things - i enjoy being outside, live music, water, playing pool - anything new and exciting to put underneith my belt as experiance and maybe do it again - what are some of the fun and exciting things or places to go in this great state? Ive gone camping at the brazos and plan to go tubing - lol- even if i have to go by myself - - i think that sounds like fun - but what do you, as natives, recomend? any Free presses that i should p/u and check out any great hippie fests i can meet some other free spirits and - please no drug addicts or sex offenders - im tired of you guys! lol! im open just give me a shout!

Hey, welcome to FW. What part of FW are you in? As you'll notice, the city itself is huge, as is the state, of course. I'm relatively new here (2 years) and am still exploring.

By far, the funnest thing to do in terms of nightlife is going out to Sundance Square in downtown FW.

Since you like camping and outdoor, I recommend making the 100 mi. drive west to Caddo, TX to camp at Possum Kingdom.

To go tubing, drive down 4 hrs. to Guadalupe River (roughly between Austin and San Antonio). I went there last year and had a blast.

For hippie activities, your best bet will be to hang out in Austin once in a while. They have a huge school there (Univ. TX) and I've noticed a lot of hippies there as well.
