Wow, great designs JJG! I have to say the Block TU Tower is my favorite. Very original and creative!

Also, I don't see why Fort Worth can't have a 950+ feet tower. Might I say that Atlanta's population is significantly smaller than Fort Worth's (not even 550,000, compared to 700,000+ for Fort Worth) and its tallest building is over 1,000 feet tall. :]

This is a modern building (duh) and it's yet another mixed use building. The bottom half of this building is hotel space, while the top is condo/appartment space, like the DoubleTree.
That big silver shape in the front can be seen as two things: a longhorn's head, or a tornado. Either way, it represents the city.
This building would replace this...

...the Texas Workforce Commission Building (I'll remodel a new one.... one that's less ugly).

This mixed use building would help redevelop and revitalize Lancaster even further.

And thanks for the complements. Block TU seems to be everyone's favorite.

This is another mixed-use tower with retail space on the first floor, office space for the next 6, and residential for the next 28 floors. I wanted the design to be modern but come from an ancient design, as you can see it resembles both the Egyptian and Aztec pyramids combined. Also, there's San Francisco's Transamerica Pyramid in there as well.

Your architect taste is very impressive. Now we just need to get your projects approved by the city council and get some private funding for the projects.

Thanks.

But that would be a stretch. Right now, the city's focus is on the Trinity River Vision and streetcars.

^^ Unbelieveable!

What a tragedy. That was an outstanding structure.

Good find kdogg817.

I just found this thread, and I have to say your designs are very impressive. If they don't work out in Fort Worth, you need to pitch them to the Lubbock city council. The downtown is about to get a major revitalization, so I believe your ideas would go over very well.
