I ended up with $111 left over...

The scenarios don't always ring true though.

Clocked in at $641 left over ... told my kid to suck it up and deal with the free lunches and $10 thrift store shoes.

I broke the kid's piggy bank and donated plasma to fund their education. LOL!

Scenarios are not realistic to the different types of families.

In any case, on all 3 jobs, I made it though. Best success was waitress.

Would have been interesting if it was based on real life scenarios and money, but nothing more than a pointless make-believe exercise as is.

You may have made it through with however much money left, but was it enough to pay the rent which was due the next day? IIRC, the minimum rent+cost of gas was around $750, so if you had less than that left, then you were in the hole. I had around $300 left, which would have left me short some $500 for rent.
