Here in Dayton..for where I live... the bus only works if you have to go across town or have a lot to carry
Just wondering. How I read your post it sounded as if saving $2 in gas was worth the hassle of using a bus.

Is that dayton, ohio.

I only shop twice a month, Costco and Wal Mart. I take a list. I am only allowed to buy three things off the list. Usually things on clearance.

I now buy most clothes and shoes on line, at Amazon. I have three "rules", must be 70% off or more, Prime Eligible, and something I really need, maybe boots or running shoes. I wear a size 12, in Nike, so if I find a pair 70% off, I buy them. Other than that, I don't buy clothes, maybe jeans, I wear a uniform for work.

I don't really use coupons much, probably do most of my shopping at the local grocery store.

For a while I did grocerygame, where you pay a monthly fee, and they allegedly tell you how to best match your coupons with sale prices. Unless you buy mostly name brands, didn't seem like much of a bargain. Stores don't double coupons so that is less incentive to actively coupon.

I do two different supermarkets because they have some items that are exclusive, so it depends on what I'm craving . Trader Joes about once a month just for fun. For clothes I've been doing it solely at JCP online and Kohls for years (I hate shopping malls!!!), but JCP got rid of my staple brands for jeans, tees, etc. and I have no idea what I'm going to do since I need tall sizes for my pants. When I saw what was happening with them I bought all I could in 2 different sizes "just in case". I also just bought a ton of shoes from ebay so I'm set for a long time there..lol.
