I always figured that I only gave them good clothes, things I had outgrown or were now too young so why wouldn't others. I've found some very good deals.

I'm missing your concern here. A refinance should not affect property taxes. It did not affect mine at all.

Every day that I don't go to the grocery store for just a few things is a win in my book. On the minus side, my dog is going to the groomers tomorrow and that costs. Plus side, she goes every 4 months

Mine HELLA skyrocketed. BEFORE the refinance, the county valued my house 80k under what it is worth. Then I assume that the ''appraiser" came out, valued my home, and reported it to the county. Either that or it was a "coincidence" that my property taxes went up significantly after i had my home appraised and after I got approved for my refinance. My property tax went up to $132 more a month after my refinance.

The county appraiser and appraiser for the refinance company are completely different entities. Sounds like a coincidence.

Unless the refinance company is making a little extra by providing info to the county. That seems like it would be unethical but I wouldn't discount that it could happen.

Put a box of hardbound cook books in front of our garage with a can for payment- minimum $2.00. Sent announcement on our NEXTDOOR newsletter. We might get enough for a lunch out. What doesn't sell will go to the public library.

At the same time announced 4 bicycles for sale. We are unable to do a real garage sale but decided to list at least 2 things for sale with pix on NEXTDOOR. Maybe we can get rid of stuff bit by bit.

We don't have a NEXTDOOR here but we do have a Valley wide Facebook online 'yard sale'. I sold my three year old set of front loader washer/dryer on there and LOTS of people are getting rid of stuff they don't want anymore. It seems to be pretty successful. I wondered if other towns did this on FB.
