Bleh... I don't believe in FREE stuff often, as how would a company survive if it gave it's product away free?

But I have a legacy TMobile Cellphone plan. $100 buy 1000+ minutes that last through a year. Combine this with Skype $30 / year, and I'm set for calls as much as I want. I use Skype to save a lot of Prepaid Cell Phone time.

Then I have a $35 / month 6gb TMobile Data Pod Wifi Hotspot plan, for mobile computing.

I use prepaid cell phones. Don't think you can get much cheaper than that.

google voice is free as long as you are connected to wi-fi and takes messages when you are not.

My favorite cell phone company is one called Mintsim. Their cheapest plan gives you unlimited talk, text, and data (first 2GB = high speed, then unlimited data at slower speed) for $16.58 per month. That is their regular price if you pay for a year in advance ($299). They often have sales that are even cheaper, and also have different plans for different lengths of time or higher amounts of high speed data. Right now they are offering the unlimited plan I listed above for 3 months for $35 ($11.67 per month).

They run off of T-Mobile's network. Check em out at www.mintsim.com

You should mention that right now the unlimited plan is $199 for 12 months, which is a real steal in my opinion.Usually these ultra cheap companies have a very limited selection of phones (this one is no different).

Normally you can't find this kind of pricing unless you are on Sprint Network. So this advice is very valuable because not everyone gets good service from Sprint.

I screwed up. $199 is their regular price for one year of service (not $299). Thank you for pointing that out. I'm pretty sure I've even seen them run specials for 20% off of that at times. There might be coupon codes floating around somewhere. Even for $199 ($16.58 per month) it's a really good deal for what you get. It's regular cell service with no hassles or hoops to jump through (other than having to pay for one year in advance).

Their 3 month special for $35 is a great way to try them out with little risk to see if it might work for you.

Their service should work with any unlocked GSM capable phone. www.mintsim.com
