I'm saving the best for last, my fig tree is now actively bearing and my last planting of tomatos, the cherokee purple variety are just now starting to come in, this type of tomato makes the best tomato sandwich you have ever tasted! And.....of course my peppers, both the Jalapeno, and Poblano are showing off their staying power.

Summer squash, a hubbard squash, purple pole beans, thyme and okra. The tomatoes are still green.

wow, good for you: I am still waiting for my little cukes to become big cantalope (probably quite awhile yet) and I have lots of jalapeno blossoms plus a very few tomatoes, but I think this season is quickly coming to an end.

Sigh. Don't remind me. I'm hoping the tomatoes are going to ripen before it gets too chilly.

ok, I picked a lot of Rosemary and basil plus some jalepenos. I have about 20 or 30 cantalopes, some are relatively large but I don't have any idea how to tell when they are ripe? Does anyone have an idea?

Pizza with sauce made from my romas, onions, peppers and basil. I'm also cooking off my six-pound butternut squash to mash and bake with butter and brown sugar for tomorrow. It won second place at our community fair.

good for you: save those ribblons or whatever. It is so much fun to enter and to win. While we were still in NM our county fair was really small and I have a couple of "best of show" trophy's. I only won a couple of times in the NM state fair. Here in AR even our county fair is huge and the placing work differently. If your entre meets all the criteria you get a blue ribbon. there might be 20 given in a catagory: if it comes close it is red and so on. I thought it was dumb, not like what you just had or like NM. So I just didn't bother after the first year. I think the only time I ever entered something grown from the garden was an entire basket and it took third I think. Now enjoy your squash and remind everyone how lucky they are to be eating a squash that won a prize.

I got 2 figs from my potted tree! Based on my neighbor's experience w/ her fig tree, I fear these may be the last ones I get LOL...but they were yummy. I had tomatoes, green beans and okra. The tomatoes are finally ripening! So happy to get a couple, but no super red on the vine ones...Sign. Maybe next year.
