AFAICT, type doesn't matter as much as quantity. A chicken nugget mixed in with veggies isn't going to have the same effect as a nice steak dinner. Your nuggets may vary. The main thing is to signal "VERY successful carnivore!"

Or get some cats, you don't have to let the cats kill the rabbits, but again just put the cat box contents around the garden.

Rabbits are very scent oriented, so making it smell scary makes sense.

I've heard old coffee grounds works also (sprinkle around garden). Or if your garden center is like my garden center, you can buy ... rabbit repellant.

I spray cheap (.98 per 64oz) ammonia cleaner from Walmart on fence lines, gravel paths, and retaining stones. They avoid that scent for awhile until it fades.
