What are these trees? The bark is smooth, leaves are evergreen and needle shaped/feathery.

Too far to identify. We need to see the leaf.
But based on the description, May be Eucalyptus?

I thought it might be a eucalyptus based on the bark, but the leaves are a different green to other species I've seen here (which have a more bluish green colour). The leaves on these trees looked more like olive or willow.

Impossible to tell at that distance. Were you driving by in a car? Can you post close ups of the bark and the leaves?
