They're a lot like camelias and azaleas. So if you can find the fertilizer for those, use it on them in the spring. Just follow the directions. They also have fairly shallow root systems, but a lot of them. And they spread out. Way out.
But the smell of those little white flowers in the spring is to die for. The only thing I like better is brugmansia.
