Boxes Searched On National Moving Trucks ? (very expensive, ship, UPS, dogs)

Does anyone know if searches are done on national moving trucks when moving across country East Coast/West Coast ?

Why do I ask ?

Two Reasons :

1. I have no choice but to put some valuables in my boxes. Some things are too heavy to ship and I am flying down on an airplane. Everything but 50lbs has to go by movers.

2. I use a vaporizer as a medical MJ patient. Will dogs smell my used vaporizer ? They are very expensive and don't want to leave it behind.

I can't answer your question but have a suggestion. Anything you need to arrive with you that can be shipped other than movers, do so. My neice and her husband ended up buying the kids new beds since their beds were on a truck in Texas that was watiing on a load. Don't expect the delivery to get to you right after you arrive. In your fifty pounds take any small expensive things, too, since things get lost. Never ever ever write on the box what is in it. Make it box a and keep a list yourself of what's in it so you know what to unpack first but never tip off the mover what you packed inside.

You can ship yourself enough to get past a short delay in the mail too.

I had 2 boxes go missing... only the ones with important content. I didn't tag them as valuable, no contents were listed.
The shipper could have used a metal detector. The contents were well packed old computers. Heartbreaking.
From here forward, I'll only use UPS to ship things important.
