Currently living in good ole New York City but would like to try some place new. Criteria:
1. Need to be able to walk to things like the supermarket, bank, post office, etc..
2. Warmer than NY would be very nice, but if it's the same climate as NY I'll still look at it.
3. I work from home so commute to work is not an issue.
4. Would like there to be some transportation if I were to ever need it since I don't drive and don't ever plan to.
5. I don't want to go past Texas.
6. I would like the place to have stuff to do whether it's the beach or a museum or a park or cute shops. I don't want there to be nothing to do but stay at home. Clubs/bars don't interest me so that's not an issue.
They have a time-limit. I think you can edit within an hour of your writing it, or so, but then it time-outs. I guess this is so people who respond to your post won't look dumb if you change it or something.

Oh, I see. Thanks for the info. So I guess nobody wants to help me? lol
With those criteria, you will need to stay on the East Coast. Or consider Chicago.
Where on the East Cost? Are there any warmer climates on the east coast that fit my criteria? I hear Chicago is nice but it's colder than NY, no thank you. I don't want colder than NY.

Wow, I'm surprised that there is nowhere in any of the warmer climates that fits my criteria. :-( DC never really appealed to me, I'll research it more though

I wouldn't move to place that didn't appeal to me. But if you haven't recently, make sure to check out the areas around DuPont Circle, Georgetown and the National Mall before crossing DC off your list.
What about Philly?
