Well here we go....round 2 of a previous discussion started ages back...THE BIG TWELVE....what are your top five picks for a state in the Midwest that you'd want to reside in and why? Here are the twelve. Take your pick. HURRY, HURRY,HURRY!!! I'll give my choices later after hearing more from other people, as i am looking for input on other places to live in the Midwest besides where I am now in the near-future.

Out of the states you've chosen, my first choice would be So. Dak. (Yea, that's where I'M from. Guess the number one choice for me would be the Black Hills area. So,
1. western So. Dak.
2. Kansas
3. Missouri
4. Illinois
5. Indiana
Just so you know~ my number one pic is because of beauty and the rest are more climate related. I don't like extremely cold temps.
Michigan would be the best choice. you can choose between the dense forests, the great lakes, the sand dunes, then you can go to the city, Detroit. or Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Lansing.etc.
I actually am planning on moving to the Upper Midwest once I graduate with my engineering degree from college, I've lived in the Lower Midwest my whole life and it's getting kind of old. Places like Chicago and the Twin Cities are high on my list. What are the advantages/disadvantages of each one and what are housing prices like there?

Oh, fine. Well, I would have to say the Upper Peninsulars (Da Yoopers) of Michigan because their hobbies are hunting, camping, shooting, and drinking. And they talk funny
