That's an awfully open-ended question. You could go pretty much anywhere in the country and you'd find some people who love it there and some people who hate it. The key is figuring out what it is that you love, and then looking for a region of the country that offers those things in plenty.

So for starters, I'd suggest that you define the following:

Do you like big cities, small cities, towns/villages or country living the best?

Do you have any particular liking or dislike of certain types of weather (cold, hot, snow, humidity, dry air, etc.)?

Are you very high-tech and like to have access to all the latest and greatest techie gadgets?

What are your musical preferences?

What kinds of foods do you like and dislike?

What kind of work will you be looking for?

Do you have family that you'll want to be able to visit regularly?

What are your hobbies?

Are you a big sports fan? If so, do you like to attend sporting events in person?

And not to turn this into a political thread, but if you have strong political viewpoints at either end of the spectrum, there are likely some parts of the country that you will enjoy/appreciate more than others.

I suspect that with more information, there are many folks here who'd have suggestions to make. You may also wish to ask one of the Moderators to relocate this thread over to the "General Moving Issues" forum, as that could be a better fit for the thread topic.
