It only kills when it's below 0 WITHOUT the windchill, for most people.
I beg to differ. 110 degree heat won't kill you either. It the dehydration that does it. Just like it's not the the cold that kills you, it's the snow that makes your fingers fall off...
I'm sorry not everyone is superhuman like your baby. To most of the nation, 20 degrees is 50 degrees too cold.
Try the mountain towns of southern Appalachians. Asheville, Hendersonville NC. 11 mos at least.
Some heat and humidity in July, but usually <90. Some snow in winter, but <10inches a year. Mostly agreeable.
Otherwise, yeah its the Cali coast.
Not to steal the op's thread but I'm looking to locate as well. The point I want to make is many people in the Midwest don't really mind the cold (5* to 50*) because it kills the bugs, drives the thugs inside, and for the people working outside it's not wet like spring, if it stays frozen. The killer part is the wind whipping across the field taking the heat right out of your close, because the dang farmer hate trees. Many Midwesterners think cold with no wind is starts at -10*.

Reason: spelling
uhhh. I guess Austin or San Antonio.
If you wanna stay out of CA.
They get a bit hot though. But they have nice winters, and their summers are not the 110 degree heat you get in Phoenix, and not the 99.99% humidity you get in Houston.
Dallas and Atlanta sound a little too cold for you though.
But honestly, CA is probably your best option, even with the smog. No where is perfect.
Seriously? The summer in Austin and San Antonio is miserable. Hot like hell in Summer. Winter is not that warm.
