Yeah, I prefer progressives but I can live with hippies...

Though, I guess I'm not sure what a hippie contingent would look like there.
I mean, are these the free spirited alternative lifestyle hippes? the yuppies in tie die hippies, the mystic religious hippies? or just the fashionable young rebellious hippies? I think that word gets carelessly thrown around a lot.

Yeah, New York and the northeast are high on our list. But like northern California, we just assumed most of it would be hard to afford. Of course, we recently discovered a county in northern California that we could afford so maybe there is hope.

And though "hippy" towns are definitely cool for us, we're open to more moderate areas. We're just coming from a poluted, close-minded area and want to spend less time dealing with the consequences of poor city-planning and short sighted politicians...

Yeah, Cornell. If you can get a job there they'll let your kids go there tuition-free, everything paid for. I'm pretty sure that benefit is for every field.
