San Antonio is not only attracting the most transplants from California but also Mexican Nationals from Mexico City, San Luis Potosi and Monterrey.

It may depend where you are, as the other colleges in the area bring some people in from outside of the area. I did meet a lady that came to the area from Atlanta to work at a healthcare facility. She is originally from Bellingham WA and likes the area. With that said, I wouldn't say that the area is a transplant hotbed. Steady growth is fine by me.

People are constantly coming and going where I live due to the military. So it's just a mashup of all different people from all different parts of the country and world. It's rare to find someone who was born and raised here like me!

Chicago is a global stew, a tremendous mix of people from everywhere. A mere half century back, Chicago swung on a polar axis of white and black, rigid lines of segregation. Thank goodness that old polar structure is long gone with the influx of hispanic and Asian populations. City and suburbs have so much diversity.

Not really. I'm in the Bay Area and it seems like there's more international transplants.
