Is there a place in the USA that doesnt have snow, huge cockroaches, or tarantulas and scorpions?
does this place exist?? Or am I looking for a unicorn? Is there a place in an another english speaking country where this exists? I dont feel i should have to choose from being scared to death to freezing to death. i'll even deal with a little snow as long as the temp stays above the 40's lol
Sorry, Portland gets below 40's in the winter. Always. And while it is pretty uncommon, the occasional cockroach has been known to appear although you could live here all your life without seeing one.
I would say more north than south. In the south they have tarantulas and scorpions. . All cities have rats and roachs if they aren't controlled...... and they only see snow in the mountains where no one lives.
BTW Portland gets tons of snow, Seattle not too often.

I have never seen a scorpion or tarantula in the South, unless it was in some exhibit. I'm pretty sure scorpions would live in a drier climate, so probably in Arizona or NM. There are big spiders, but nothing the size of a tarantula. There are some pretty large cockroaches here. You tend to see them either when it starts to get cold or when it rains a lot, because then they come inside your house. Not much snow haha.

Average daytime high is above 40 though which I assumed OP was talking about. I was more talking about cockroach/scorpions. Even California, Texas and Florida will be hitting 30s and below at night sometimes.

I have seen several scorpions in Florida growing up there. FL is of course loaded with roaches and spiders.

I beg to differ. We get very little snow here. Every once in a while we get a bunch of snow and it pretty much paralyzes the city because it's so rare that we aren't equipped to deal with large and frequent snowstorms. I think we had one or two snows last winter and as I recall it was all gone the next day.
After 38 years here, I think I have seen one or two regular size cockroaches.
