I just want to know can anybody tell me how many japanese people live in the states of california and hawaii. Is it true that california and hawaii do have large japanese populations, if so how many of them live in california and hawaii?

I also want to know does anybody know of any other US states and which cities and towns in hawaii and california have very large japanese populations?

According to this link, there are almost 400,000 in California and almost 300,000 in Hawai'i.

Could Hawaii and California get the next largest japanese population outside of japan like Brazil with 1.6 million or little bit higher?

Most west coast cities for obvious reasons. I have worked in San Francisco, Oakland, and Seattle and they have a lot of Japanese, plus areas with almost exclusively Japanese restaurants and markets.

There are two types of Japanese people in Hawaii. Local Japanese(born in Hawaii) and Japanese Nationals.
