I just want to know can anybody tell me how many japanese people live in the states of california and hawaii. Is it true that california and hawaii do have large japanese populations, if so how many of them live in california and hawaii?
I also want to know does anybody know of any other US states and which cities and towns in hawaii and california have very large japanese populations?

Most west coast cities for obvious reasons. I have worked in San Francisco, Oakland, and Seattle and they have a lot of Japanese, plus areas with almost exclusively Japanese restaurants and markets.
All of Hawaii
Torrance, CA
Sawtelle area of LA
Little Tokyo area of LA
and sprinkled throughout the rest of the major metro areas on the west coast.
