I like Larry the Cable Guy better than perpetually angry so-called comedians like Lewis Black and Bill Maher. I'm a NY native, spent most of my life in NYC, Long Island and the DC area before moving to the South. The way I see it, Larry (and those with culture/relationship humor material) will still have an act if a Democrat becomes President...some of those other "comedians" will be collecting unemployment.

LOL I can't stand those angry comedians either. I've never even cracked a smile when watching them.

Could be anywhere. Central valley of CA, Upstate NY, most of PA, rural TX, lots of places in the South.

Al Franken and even Chevy Chase have become that "angry" way. Kinda sad when you think about it.

Now, there are some "jokingly but not seriously angry" comedians that I'll really laugh to/at. Carlos Mencia is a prime example. Sometimes, though, he becomes so vulgar that I'll change the channel, even when I'm home alone.

A cross-hybrid of the two genres is George Lopez. Sure he had that nice family cozy sitcom on ABC, but in his real comedic acts I can never actually tell if he's simply joking, seriously joking, or has an actual hint of anger in his jokes. I'll laugh sometimes, but not always.
