I'm 5'7 which is short anywhere except parts of Asia or Latin America.

But the way I see it I'm not short, I'm fun sized

First of all, I said 90% of people, not 100%.

Second of all, why are you so defensive.. maybe because you're trying to convince yourself you're taller than you actually are. hmmm

I think a lot of people are adding inches to their height. I'm about 5,7 or 5,8 if I'm wearing some the boots I have. If people were as tall as what most are saying here, I should be feeling really small but that's not the case. I feel most people around me are around 5,8 - 5,11. So I do feel slightly small, but not significantly so.

I'm 5'10, I feel above average in most of the northeast.

When I went to Dallas in march, a good majority of the white men (and some of the women too) towered over me, while hispanics were a bit shorter

5'9" in Maryland. Sometimes I feel decidedly average sometimes I feel kinda short. For some reason whenever I go to the park in my area everyone towers over me. But everywhere else I see a decent amount of guys my height or shorter. It's not that un-common to see a woman my height or taller but it isn't the norm.

Nah I'm 100% legit 5'9". I might even be pushing 5'9.5" on a good day. A lot of people think I'm like 5'11" because I'm skinny have good posture and often wear thick shoes. With that being said I did see a couple guys claiming 5'11" and feeling short. I have a hard time imagining a legit 5'11" guy ever feeling short, that's average height in some of the tallest countries in the world. In America it's 5'9.5" to 5'10" for all age ranges, and I believe that just by looking around.

In.......

Minneapolis: I felt almost small, or average at best. Even some women towered over me!
Chicago: I felt pretty tall compared to the Italians and Poles I associated with
Columbus: I felt fairly tall, although as a college student I was surrounded by many people from different regions, so it's hard to say
Cleveland: I feel fairly tall. I'd say I'm taller than 75% of the male population here, but that's just a guess.
I've heard Minneapolis is a giant place, I guess at 5'9" at be a borderline midget there. I suppose that's due to the large Scandinavian influence.

You would be a bit below average there probably, but nothing that stands out too much.
